Since 2006, we have supplied engineered shade solutions to residential, commercial, educational, hospitality, and government customers throughout the world. Our operations are supported through registered corporate entities located in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Austria, together with a network of regional websites, distributors, and certified installation partners.

Founder
Roland GM Sharman
Custom Made Shade Sails was founded by Roland GM Sharman, a specialist in shade sail engineering, fabric form-finding, tensioned membrane structures, and advanced geometric modelling.
Over several decades, Roland has been involved in the development of automated design systems, 3D quotation technologies, and proprietary Polytriangulation™ methodologies used to calculate and manufacture complex tensioned shade structures. His work has focused on combining engineering principles, automated manufacturing, and practical installation experience into scalable systems capable of producing custom structures worldwide.
